I know that’s not the best way to start off a series titled “Pacific Coasting” without a picture of the coast, but think it less literally. I was driving up through mountains and coastal waters. Crazy off road places in a GTI, cut me some slack. Here is a picture of someplace close to water.

I remember hurriedly looking for the trail as the sun was getting lower and lower. We reached this viewpoint just as the sun was about to pass down below the clouds. The sun rays imparted pastel soft shades of pink and purple as lights in the city turned on one by one.
Taipei 101 is the tall stacked-pagoda skyscraper towering over every other building in Taipei. Upon completion, it was arguably the tallest building in the world—until Dubai sprouted straight up on the map.
